We were appointed by BAM Construction to provide civil and structural engineering works for this luxury retirement complex built on a challenging site with an 8m slope.
Geo-environmental
Site Investigation and geotechnical assessment of steeply sloping site including strategy for retaining structures and detailed designs. Complex piled foundation analysis and solutions to suit complicated multi-level superstructure.
Civil engineering
Design of new access roads and pedestrian circulation system with special attention to disabled access details. Design of sustainable drainage system to suit multilevel development footprint.
Structural engineering
Detailed designs of stepped foundations and retaining walls, along with waterproofed basement construction. Composite concrete floors provide rigidity to the steel structure, masonry-clad SFS walls form the perimeter elevations and a traditional timber roof completes the envelope.
