100 Queens Gate Hotel
Kensington
The restoration of a central London Victorian Townhouse, into an exclusive Hilton Curio hotel, addressing unique structural challenges.
What we did
Civil Engineering
Appointed from concept to completion as Principal Structural Engineer for
the multi-£million restoration and refurbishment of a 1870s building. Works also included the infilling of light wells, formation of duplex rooms and the installation of new lift shafts through the building.
Structural engineering
Our scope of works included the remodelling of the entire basement structure and strengthening of the existing foundations beams and columns to enable a future phase of development to be constructed on the rear buildings.
Overcame complex challenges to enable future phase development.
“100 Queen’s Gate was the former home of Victorian aristocrat William Alexander which has been stunningly transformed into a luxury hotel.”
