The floor was design for a mixture of free and defined movement areas within the structure supported on a piled slab solution. Precast concrete dock leveller walls and associated shelters were provided along the yard face whilst the end of the structure provided administration offices and employee welfare facilities.

External car park areas and concrete yard areas were provided draining into a new purpose sized balancing pond.
