Charity Football Tournament

13.05.22

Last week, we were pleased to be invited back to take part in what is now an annual 5-a-side charity football tournament arranged by our friends at Edge.

There was a fantastic turnout from local built environment related businesses, who were all there to help raise money for Edge’s chosen charity Hayward House Hospice in memory of their former colleague Gemma Petrie.

On a pleasant Friday afternoon, 12 teams took to the pitches at the Powerleague Nottingham venue.

Team Rodgers Leask, (L-R) Ryan Holden, Russell Cartwright, Kriston Harvey, Matt Harrison, Junaid Ahmed, Jon Howard, Corey Johnson and Ben Carnill

Team Rodgers Leask fared well in their league, picking up more than enough points to make it through to the knockout stages and only narrowly beaten in the league fixture against the eventual tournament champions.

Eventually knocked out in the Quarter Finals, the team finished the day with a respectable set of results.

The tournament was won by Survey Hub, who retained the trophy having run out winners in 2021 also.

Congratulations to everyone who took part and we hope this helped to raise a fantastic amount for the chosen charity.

We’re already looking forward to next year………..
