Becketwell Phase 1 Tower Emerges

In the week that Derby City Council signed contracts with Developer St James Securities and Operator ASM Global for the Becketwell Performance Venue, we visited site to check on the progress of the Phase 1 Build to Rent (BTR) apartment scheme which is currently being delivered by GMI Construction Group.

Due for completion in spring 2023, Phase 1 of the Becketwell Regeneration scheme will deliver 259 BTR apartments (with commercial space at ground floor) along with a fantastic new Public Square which will integrate with the existing city centre public realm.

On a sunny spring afternoon, it was great to see the BTR ‘tower’ starting to emerge on the skyline.

No doubt when complete this will provide a real focal point in the city centre.
