New Lubbesthorpe Wins Infrastructure Project of the Year Award

We are delighted to share some more awards success.

The New Lubbesthorpe Sustainable Urban Extension in Northwest Leicester won the Infrastructure Project of the Year Award at the 2018 ProCon Leicestershire Awards ceremony on 15 November.

New Lubbesthorpe is a Sustainable Urban Extension in Northwest Leicestershire which covers an area of approximately 322 hectares and Rodgers Leask has been involved with the project from planning stage, providing civil, structural and environmental engineering services throughout, including infrastructure highway, drainage and SuDs strategies, detailed design and ground investigation works.

Phase one, comprising primary infrastructure including over 4km of roads and drainage plus the first residential land parcels is now complete. The 23Ha Phase 2 works are now well underway to create a district centre, further residential developments and the construction of the first of three new schools.

When fully completed, New Lubbesthorpe will feature 4,250 homes, a strategic employment park, two primary and one secondary school, mixed use district centres including retail units, health, leisure and community facilities, 75 acres of new woodland and 250 acres of open space and parkland.
