Rodgers Leask Environmental – Helping the Next Generation of Engineers

06.03.18

Rodgers Leask Environmental is proud to be partnering with Birmingham University to assist students studying towards a degree in Geology.

During March a small team of students from the University are working at our Longbridge (Birmingham) office as part of their module on Engineering Geology.

In their time at the office the third-year students will be tasked with completing project reports based on a real site worked on by our engineers and using real data to assess and solve engineering problems.

With project tasks set by our own team of geo-environmental engineers and specialists the team of students will develop and complete their reports to be submitted to the University which will contribute to their degree score.

The experience not only gives the students some real work experience and a valuable insight into the industry, but also gives them the chance to be mentored by highly experienced team members from a leading engineering consultancy.

We’re so pleased to be able to give these talented students some practical, real-life help on their academic journey.
