Main duties and responsibilities

Working alongside senior staff to provide fieldwork and project support.
Undertaking Phase 1 Desk Study Reports.
Supervising Phase 2 Site Investigation.
Undertaking site monitoring.
Logging soil/rock samples in accordance with British Standards and inputting data into software.
Data analysis and manipulation.
Using CAD or Microsoft Software to create plans, drawings and cross-sections.
Project management.
Report writing, including undertaking human health/controlled waters risk assessments and providing foundation recommendations.
Undertaking Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
Comply with company H & S standards at all times.
Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position.

Person specification

Minimum qualifications: BSc or equivalent in Earth Sciences related subject.
Post-graduate qualification desirable but not essential.
Member/fellow of a chartered organisation and working towards chartership.
Project Engineer level –minimum 1-2 years experience required.
Excellent numeracy / general mathematics understanding is essential.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Software. AutoCAD experience would also be beneficial.
Good organisation, communication and report writing skills are essential – a good understanding of general processes and quality assurance standards is desirable.
Willingness to travel country wide to undertake site investigations.
All candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and have a full UK Driving License.
