Our next move in the Affordable Housing sector

29.07.25

We have been appointed to the JV North social housebuilding framework under the engineering services lot – marking a significant step forward in growing our presence in the affordable housing sector.

Over the next four years, we’ll be supporting the delivery of around 3,000 new homes across the North West, working alongside the other companies successfully appointed to the framework. With the sector under continued pressure to quickly and efficiently deliver high quality homes, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring our engineering expertise to projects that will have a real impact in the North West.

Appointment to the £500 million framework builds on momentum since joining Innovation Chain North last year and forms a key part of our wider strategy to strengthen our affordable housing portfolio and our long-term partnerships in the sector.

Regional director Chris Pollett said: “The JV North framework is a really good mechanism to support our push into the affordable housing sector. We’ve been steadily building our credentials, and this appointment gives us a great platform to show what we can do by supporting clients from early stage planning through to delivery.

“Several of our recent projects already reflect our capabilities. In Nottingham we’ve supported two brownfield sites through planning and into the detailed design process, developing 102 new homes. In Cheltenham, we’re delivering 24 homes for Cheltenham Borough Council, working closely with the contractor during the PCSA period and now as we navigate the detailed design. For Stroud District Council, we’re supporting three sites that will bring 44 affordable new homes to market – backed by funding from the Brownfield Land Release Fund.”

Call offs are expected to begin in early August, and our teams are already preparing to ensure we’re in a strong position to support the first wave of projects with forward thinking engineering solutions.
