Derby Market Hall and Public Realm

With our head office located in Derby, it is always good to be involved with projects in and around Derby City centre.
 
We are particularly pleased to have been selected to work with Wates Group on both the redevelopment of the MarketHall in Derby and also the associated PublicRealm.
 
Works to the Market Hall have comprised remedial work to the roof structure, replacement of glazing and copper cladding, refurbishment of gutters, new access ways at high level, a new full length ventilation penthouse to the crown of the roof and new access stairs, with Rodgers Leask providing assessment of the existing structure, justification of additional loads, design of the penthouse and access walkways, reporting on gutters and gutter access ways, design of new stairs, temporary works design to permit replacement of historic brickwork, design of repairs to cracks in concrete, brickwork and stonework.
 
For the Public Realm, DerbyCityCouncil is looking to introduce improvements to the current provision within the city centre. Working alongside Lathams, Rodgers Leask is providing Highway and Transportation advice to help develop concept scheme designs, as well as undertaking due diligence work relating to flood risk, drainage and ground.
 
The Market Hall works are progressing nicely on site, and we look forward to seeing the completed scheme in the very near future!
